SETTING UP THE FILL STATION
Before you even consider starting to refill tanks, the bulk cylinder (donor tank) MUST be solidly secured to a post or wall. If the the cylinder were to be knocked over, the valve could be broken off, and the cylinder Launched like an out of control rocket.
Your FillStationPro-II is equipped with a standard CGA-320 fitting on the input side. This fitting will connect to any Siphon Type CO2 bulk tank in the United States. Please note that the threads are righthanded, and that a sealing washer (included) is required.
The bulk supply tank you connect to MUST be equipped with an internal dip tube (Siphon Tube) because it is necessary to dispense the liquid CO2 from the bottom of the bulk supply tank.
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REFILL FROM A NON SIPHON TANK!
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REFILL BY FLIPPING A NON SIPHON TANK UPSIDE-DOWN! DOING SO IS HIGHLY DANGEROUS, IS NOT SUPPORTED AND WILL VOID ANY WARRANTIES!
Place the Flat Washer (included with order) between the CGA-320 Valve on the Donor Tank and the Brass Nipple with Large Nut on the FillStationPro-II, and tighten snugly with the Wrench. Be careful not to cross-thread or damage your threads! If it does not thread on easily you may have a different valve than a CGA-320 as required, perhaps an European Metric. You may need to repeat tightening procedure as needed once the Flat Washer is well seated and the filling process begins.
On the backside of the FillStationPro-II is a vent port with a Muffler. For safety reasons, this port must be directed away from the operator and bystanders.
INSPECTING YOUR CARBONATOR PRIOR TO FILLING
Conduct a valve twist test to determine if the valve is securely attached to the Carbonator. Any Carbonators which have valves that can be twisted by hand, or which show signs of the valve having been partially removed, must not be filled. Visually inspect the Carbonator's condition before each fill.
Carbonators should be in good condition: free of dents, scrapes, bulges, obvious corrosion, pits, evidence of damage and leaks. Carbonators should not be buffed or polished. Carbonators having valves without a rupture disk or pressure relief mechanism must not be filled. Pressure relief or rupture disk assembly should be tight, and all pressure relief passages should be clear of obstructions.
Carbonators with Dents in the aluminum tank that exceed 1.6 mm
(0.062 inch) with a diameter less than 50.8 mm (2 inches) should NEVER be filled and

CO2 should only be filled by weight, never pressure. Use an accurate scale; never guess the weight of a cylinder. It is recommended that the scale have an accuracy of 0.05 lb.
NEVER fill your ALCO2JET Carbonator Tank in an INVERTED (Upside Down) or HORIZONTAL position. Always fill the Carbonator UPRIGHT (Brass Valve UP). When screwing on or unscrewing the CO2Dapter-II Fill Head from the Carbonator Tank, NEVER do so with the tank in a horizontal position. If you do, LIQUID CO2 will exit causing the CO2Dapter-II inner seal to FREEZE and CRACK causing permanent damage to it and requiring that you purchase a replacement.
Cracked or Damaged Seals are NOT covered under warranty!
IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE ALCO2JET CARBONATOR TANK, PLEASE ALLOW 5 MINUTES BETWEEN REFILLS SO THAT THE CO2DAPTER-II FILL HEAD CAN RETURN TO ROOM TEMPERATURE AND THE VALVE SEAL CAN DO ITS JOB OF SEALING DURING THE REFILL PROCESS. SCREWING ON A FROZEN CO2DAPTER-II CAN CAUSE THE INNER SEAL TO CRACK AND BE PERMANENTLY DESTROYED.
Step one: Attachment. MAKE SURE THE ON/OFF Valve AND the PURGE Valve on the FillStationPro-II is in the OFF POSITION. Screw the Carbonator onto the CO2Dapter-II fill adapter.
Step two: Purging. Purge off the residual CO2 in the bottle. ALWAYS start with a chilled or Frozen Carbonator that has been frozen or chilled for at least 2 hours prior to filling. This will ensure a better and fuller refill. Purging is necessary because you must decrease the pressure in the bottle for the transfer of the liquid CO2 from the bulk tank to take place. You do this by inverting the bottle so that the valve is at the bottom, and turning the Purge Valve ON the FillStationPro-II. POINT THE BOTTLE IN A SAFE DIRECTION AWAY FROM ALL PERSONS! Vent until gas ceases to be exhausted.
NOTE: The above step will NOT always work on all ALCO2JET Tanks due to different Soda-Club / Sodastream Valve dimensions and variances. If it DOES NOT work, purge the excess CO2 Manually with a dull object pressing in the valve (see picture below) until ALL excess CO2 is purged. Then reconnect fill adapter and proceed.
Step three: Weighing. CO2 Tanks should only be filled by weight, never pressure. Use an accurate scale; never guess the weight of a cylinder. It is recommended that the scale have an accuracy of 0.05 lb.
When there is no residual CO2 in the bottle, weigh the empty bottle (with the Fill Adapter still attached) to determine the Empty Weight.
Step four: Filling. Once the ALCO2JET Bottle and Donor Bottle are attached, you are now ready to fill. First, make sure all Valves are CLOSED, then VERY CAREFULLY and VERY SLOWLY open the Donor Tank Main Valve. The Black Handled Valve closest to the Donor Tank is the FILL Valve, the one with a small knob below is Vent/Purge Valve.
NOTE: Open the FILL valve very slowly (turn Counter-Clockwise) until just BEFORE you hear a "click" or small sound coming from the ALCO2JET Valve. This step is necessary if you are using a standard Soda-Club / Sodastream ALCO2JET Valve that has an anti-refill trap. If you hear the "Click" the trap has been activated and you must start over.
If you are using our FreedomValve Product, then open fully, MAXIMUM of ONE TURN, since no trap is present. NOTE: If you open the fill valve more than ONE turn, the internal o-ring seals can dislodge and CO2 will leak out around fill valve knob.
You can also tell that it is filling by feeling the ALCO2JET Bottle chilling, gurgling, and getting frosty at the bottom. If you need to tighten the CO2Dapter-II you can do so at any time.
If you encounter repeated filling problems because of the Proprietary ALCO2JET Valve closing on you, you will need to purchase our FreedomValve. Typical CO2 Refills are in the 60-80% range of rated capacity. Professional Refillers use Compressors and systems costing THOUSANDS of Dollars, you're doing it at a fraction of the cost.
When done, turn OFF (fully clockwise but DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN) the Fill Valve on the FillStationPro-II once the ALCO2JET Carbonator Tank is filled to the maximum capacity. Use the Vent/Purge Valve at your discretion if you need to purge excess CO2 out of the FillStationPro-II line.
Step five: Disconnecting. Turn ALL Valves OFF. Unscrew the Carbonator Tank from the fill adapter head.
Step six: Final weighing. CO2 should only be filled by weight, never pressure. Use an accurate scale; never guess the weight of a cylinder. It is recommended that the scale have an accuracy of 0.05 lb. Re-weigh the Carbonator Tank to make sure the weight is correct.
NOTE: Refill capacities for Soda-Club / Sodastream Carbonators are 14.5oz for the 60L (small skinny tank), and 33oz for the 110L (large tank). However, you will never be able to fill 100% to those capacities due to physics and CO2 properties. We have covered this quite extensively in our User Support Forum in the Technical Support area. Please stop by and read the articles, they will help you greatly.

rated capacity in ounces!
